Here is what leaders who only care about themselves should do. Just hire a team of actors and actresses. These actors and actresses can dress up the leader in an emperor's robe or whatever glorious robes he likes every morning, carry out the ceremonial bows as many times as he wants, call him great, wonderful or whatever he wishes and he can live in his palace without having to bother about the people. They can also photograph him as many times as he wants and put him on TV. He can live in his fantasy castle or palace without having to bother about the people.
Let people who care about the people be the leader.
